ADULT/CHILD ROUND ROBIN

After Wimbledon Day’s great success we have decided to hold another adult/child doubles round robin on Sat., August 14^th.  The cost is $5 per individual and the mixer will run from around 12pm-5pm (depending on how many sign up).  If you do not have a partner do not hesitate to register because we can find someone to pair you with.  Players of all ages and levels are welcome and encouraged to come out for this fun afternoon of tennis!

YOUTH CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

The annual SRC Tennis Tournament will be held during the week of August 23^rd.  There will be singles, doubles and mixed doubles events with age divisions of U10, U14 and U18.  For the U10 division we will be using lower pressure tennis balls and a modified court area.  The cost will be $15 for one event and $5 for each additional event.  Please sign up as soon as possible by contacting the office or talking to Rebecca or Alex.

ROGERS CUP

There are only a couple of tickets remaining for the Rogers Cup trip to Toronto on Thursday, August 12^th.  Tickets can also be purchased with the Riding Club discount for other days of the tournament.  If interested, please contact Bob McLeod at 542-8713.

LADIES’ TENNIS LUNCHEON AND BRIDGE/GAMES

Please join us on Thursday, August 19th for our ladies’ tennis luncheon with bridge and other games.  The tennis round robin starts at 9 a.m.  Lunch will take place at noon – details to follow.  Guests are most welcome.  Please sign up with the office before August 18^th.

ROUND ROBINS

Please join us on Sundays for our informal round robins (singles or couples, all levels welcome).  We play every Sunday afternoon at 3pm and we have a lot of fun.  No sign-up is necessary.

AUGUST TENNIS CLINICS

We are still offering our three regular clinics that cost $15 each (Cardio Tennis, Tennis 101 and Play like a Pro) but we will only be able to offer them if we have at least 2 or 3 people registered two days prior to the scheduled clinic day.  For more information about these specific clinics please ask either Alex or Rebecca or refer to the flyer in the tennis cabana.

If anyone is interested in doing one of the regular clinics on a Saturday please contact Rebecca or leave a message at the office.

We will be holding a special serving clinic on Monday, August 9^th from 6pm-7pm.  Please call the office to register.

SIGN UP FOR THE FALL TENNIS LEAGUES

Please sign up for the Fall Tennis Leagues by Friday, August 20^th.  We will not be including sign-up forms with the newsletter.  Please register for the fall leagues on-line at www.sarniaridingclub.com or by emailing shirleyd@sarniaridingclub.com or by calling the office at 519-542-5588.

The fall session is from September 6 to October 6 (5 weeks) and is $15 regular, $5 to spare.  When signing up please indicate any dates byes are needed and we will do our best to accommodate.  Please indicate if you wish to spare only.   As well, men, please indicate if you are unable to play early/late on Tuesday evenings.
